Avoiding things which triggers the hernia is a substantial part of healing that is why it is essential to discipline yourself in including it on your habits. Here are the things that you must avoid if you have or if you had an Indirect Inguinal Hernia:
1. Avoid Spicy Foods
These foods can trigger the protruding of the hernia based on my experience anytime I eat spicy foods especially the very spicy ones after few hours my hernia tends to show and I feel uncomfortable, my theory is this spicy foods make your intestine go softer thus it can easily enter through the small opening of the inguinal canal because it is softer and much easier to pass inside. Even though I am healed already I still avoid this kind of foods so that the hernia will not come back anymore!
2. Avoid Wearing Loose Underwear
This is pretty evident while a person with indirect hernia wears a loose underwear or in other words underwear with defective garters the hernia tends to protrude. Mainly because the intestines are not pushed back by the bottom part of the underwear because it is one important thing if you have an hernia the intestine must be in place and not sag on the skin on top of the testicle by wearing loose underwear the bottom part of the underwear loses its function to hold your bottom part tightly. The conclusion is stay away from wearing those loose underwear of yours I personally experienced it that is why I am sharing it to you.
3. Avoid Over Eating
Eating a lot of foods that you do not need makes your stomach bloated and will make your intestine overload and will have a hard time holding that load which will stress the intestine and protrude to the weak opening of your inguinal canal. Just eat with the right amount to avoid stressing your hernia.
4. Avoid Lifting Heavy Weights
This would strain your muscles on the pelvic area which can push the hernia downwards and pop out eventually. Avoid lifting for the meantime while you are still healing your hernia. There are ways on how to overcome tasks which requires lifting on my eBook check it out
5. Avoid Sneezing and Coughing Hard
Whenever you tend to sneeze or cough try to make it light as you can do not push to hard because it can cause strain on your organs especially your hernia, as you can observe whenever you cough hard the hernia pops out it is because the pressure that sneezing and coughing makes pushes the hernia downwards, in order for you to avoid this you must hold your inguinal part where hernia is poppint before you sneeze or cough and most importantly do sneezing and coughing lightly do not over exaggerate.
6. Avoid Anxiety
This is one important factor you must consider when you want to heal your hernia. Because anxiety can trigger hyper acidity in your stomach where in people who has inguinal hernia is more prone with excessive acids produce by the stomach because the intestines are moving in their right places which trigger more production of acids.
These are simple ways to hold your hernia in place and avoiding it to pop out. These are few things to remember and the most basic one, however you can learn more about the things to avoid if you have inguinal hernia on my eBook you can check it out to learn more about this topic.
